Evelina Week at Solefield ran from 16th – 20th November. The boys spent the week learning all about Evelina London and the work they do, listening to an assembly from Evelina, taking part in different activities each morning, an art competition and a ‘Get Colourful’ day. The 'Get Colourful' day saw the boys wearing bright and colourful accessories, from wigs to socks and even face paint! Holroyd Howe treated us to some yummy, bright and colourful cakes and biscuits at lunch time. A fun day was had by all.
The art competition ran throughout the week and was even extended due to the amount of entries. We had some wonderful entries of colourful paintings, drawings and even sculptures. The winners of the competition were:
- Rec-Year 3 - Bertie (Reception)
- Year 4-6 - Benedict (Year 4)
- Year 7-8 - Cosmo (Year 7)
Well done to all those who entered.
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated and supported us for the Evelina Week. To date, our current total raised is £775, which is amazing! It’s going to an incredible cause and will make a huge difference to children who are unwell and their families.
