I feel privileged to lead a school which combines so delicately high expectations and exceptional care. Through teaching of the highest calibre, boys are encouraged to think for themselves and pursue their own enthusiasms. They rejoice in the differences that exist between them – intellectually, in sporting prowess and in artistic and creative achievements.
School should be fun but it should also be challenging. Staff and older boys set examples to all through their attitude and achievements. Teachers climb mountains, run marathons, sing, dance and raise thousands of pounds for charity. They are gentle and generous, yet always looking for boys to try their best. Senior boys lead assemblies, coordinate the school’s charitable endeavours and mentor younger boys.
Our warm, inviting atmosphere is our hallmark as well as our pride and joy. My wife, Rosalind, and our two sons, Max and Alfie, are integral parts of this family school. We look forward to welcoming you to Solefield School.
