Communication with Parents

 

As our recent 2011 ISI Inspection highlighted, "communication between staff and parents at Solefield is outstanding" and parents are actively encouraged to keep an open dialogue with the teachers and the Headmaster. Excellent communication has been enhanced further through regular Parent's Evenings, increased in number recently following parental feedback.


Parents are encouraged to ask staff to meet up to discuss their son's progress in addition to these formal Parents' Evenings should the time allocated prove insufficient and are encouraged to come and see, or email, a particular member of staff whenever they feel that it is necessary. 

 

In addition to these individual communications, parents receive information through:

  • Form Reps
  • Coffee mornings with Mr & Mrs Philps
  • Drinks evenings where the parents can meet staff informally.
  • A regular information bulletin (The Acorn) is sent to parents.
