Step into Solefield - Activity Afternoon for children aged 4–7
Join us for a special Activity Afternoon specifically for children aged 4-7, for the perfect introduction to life in Years 1 and 2 at Solefield. Your child will enjoy hands-on sessions in sport, Music and Spanish. See your child thrive in a nurturing, engaging environment.
Tuesday 16th June - 2.00–3.30pm
What Happens on the Day
While your child enjoys interactive sessions in music, sport and Spanish, you’ll meet our team, hear from our Headmistress, and discover how we support children to grow in confidence, independence and a love of learning.

FAQs
- Do I need to book?
- Yes, places are limited to ensure a welcoming and personal experience.
- Should my child attend?
- Absolutely. Children will take part in fun, supervised activities while parents enjoy other tailored sessions.
- Can both parents attend?
- Yes, we welcome both parents. We ask that at least one parent or carer remain onsite while children are engaged in activities. You’ll also have the chance to meet our team and Headmistress and see how we build children’s confidence.
- What should my child wear?
- Comfortable clothing suitable for light physical activity (sports session included), which could also be their current school uniform.
- What if my child is shy?
- That’s completely normal - our teachers are experienced in helping children settle and feel at ease.
- Is this suitable if we’ve already visited?
- Yes, this event offers focused acitivites for this age group (aged 4-7) and how we support the children's learning and development.
- What if I can’t make this date?
- We offer weekday visits and open mornings throughout the year, as well as dates to suit you; please select the relevant option via our booking form.

Open Mornings
Our Open Mornings are ideal for families considering entry into any year group and are held on Saturdays once a term. Our Open Mornings include a welcome from the Headmistress, a tour of the school with one of our teachers personally chosen for your child's/children's age and interests, along with the opportunity to meet staff and pupils:
- Saturday 7th November 2026, 9.15am
- Saturday 23rd January 2027, 9.15am
- Saturday 24th April 2027, 9.15am
Small Group Weekday Visits
We offer small group weekday visits, which includes a meeting with our Headmistress followed by a guided tour of the school. These are held on Wednesdays and Fridays:
- Wednesdays are best suited to parents considering Little Acorns, Reception, Year 1 or Year 2
- Fridays are intended for parents considering Years 3–8.
