“A definite highlight is the lunches” Max, Year 3
At Solefield School, we provide a delicious menu with a tasty, freshly cooked and nutritious meal every lunch time, such as roast dinner, pasta and the ever popular Friday fish & chips! We offer seasonal special menus for events such as European Day of Languages, Harvest Festival, Christmas, and Chinese New Year. We always provide a vegetarian alternative and also cater for children who have allergies, intolerances or religious requirements.
Our weekly Lunch Menu can be accessed by clicking on the relevant link below. Our menu is also displayed outside the Dining Room.
The food served at Solefield is provided by external catering company, Holroyd Howe, who work exclusively with independent schools. Their food is responsibly sourced, for example the meat is purchased from Coldbreath’s butchers in Seal, and they work closely with us to deliver varied and nutritious meals for our boys. We believe that a nutritional school lunch is a key part of the school day since it promotes health and well-being.
Boys in the Pre-Prep eat lunch with their teachers, in a family style, whilst boys in Year 3 and up are able to choose their food from the options at the counter, served by the Holroyd Howe team.
We regularly ask the boys for feedback on all aspects of the food that is on offer at school, in form time discussions and listen carefully to their views.
Please contact Mrs Lindsay Savage, Facilities Manager, firstname.lastname@example.org with any comments or concerns regarding the catering.
