First Netball Fixtures of the Year

Mrs Treacy

17th November 2025

This week, our girls took to the court for their first netball fixtures of the season. On Wednesday, the U10A and B teams hosted Aberdour. It was a challenging start, but both teams worked hard to put their training into action and gained valuable match experience.

The U10A side began to find their rhythm as the game went on, showing moments of good passing and teamwork. There were encouraging contributions from Matilda, Leonie, and Rosie, while Iris was chosen by the opposition as Player of the Match for her effort and positive attitude throughout.

The U10B team also grew in confidence as they settled into the game. Emily played a determined role in the centre, linking play well and demonstrating the positioning skills the girls have been focusing on in practice.

On Thursday, our U9A and B teams travelled to the Aberdour Tournament, taking on Caterham, Chinthurst, Banstead, and Aberdour. The girls faced some tough opposition but kept working to improve their passing and spacing with each match. Their perseverance was rewarded with a well-earned 1–1 draw against Chinthurst in their final game, with Sienna scoring a determined equaliser.

Although results didn’t go our way this week, the girls gained valuable experience and learned a great deal from their first competitive outings of the year. There’s plenty to build on as the season continues.
