Last week saw great performances from both the U10A and U10B netball teams in their matches against St Michael’s. The girls showed clear improvement, putting into practice many of the skills they have been working on in training. Their passing and positioning on court continue to develop well.
The U10A team played with good focus and teamwork, moving the ball effectively and creating some nice attacking opportunities. Anna had a strong game throughout, showing confidence and good decision-making, and was voted Player of the Match.
The U10B team also played well, working hard in defence and showing determination across the court. Their effort and team spirit were clear, and they should be pleased with their progress. Junayana once again impressed with her consistency and enthusiasm, earning Player of the Match for the second week in a row.
The U9 teams had a much tougher outing against St Michael’s. They found the games challenging and were outplayed in key moments, which ultimately showed in the results. It’s still early in their season, and there is plenty for them to learn, but these matches will help them improve. Elizabeth worked tirelessly for the A team, earning Player of the Match, while Rose was the standout performer in the B team and fully deserved her accolade.
Overall, it was a positive round of matches, with all teams gaining valuable experience. There’s still lots of development ahead, but the girls continue to learn and grow each week.
