Year 4 had an interesting workshop on John Blanke - the first person of African descent in Tudor England where we have a name and an identified picture.
We discussed why we know so much about the kings and not much about ordinary people and what types of primary evidence historians use to discover about the past. There were lots of questions to answer and Year 4 will be following this up in their next history lesson.
