Huge well done to Eddie and Eric (6GC) who competed with the West Kent District schools football team playing in the Barcelona Cup in Spain. They achieved an excellent third-place finish behind teams from the Netherlands and France - the top England team at the event.
They topped their group on day one, narrowly lost in the semi-finals to eventual winners Cambrils Unió CE (Spain), and showed real resilience to win 3–2 against Sweden’s IFK Stocksund after going 2–0 down, securing the bronze medal.
The boys displayed true grit in very hot conditions, played superbly throughout, and had a fantastic experience. Well done to them both.
