In other tournament news there were three further events on Friday and Saturday of last week with performances at the U9 Somerhill Football Festival, U13 New Beacon Football Festival and U11 Sevenoaks Futsal Tournament.
Across all three events, our pupils showed fantastic effort, enthusiasm and pride in representing Solefield. While the football teams found wins harder to come by, both the U9 and U13 groups continued to compete with determination, supporting one another and showing a positive attitude throughout their matches. There were plenty of encouraging moments and valuable learning experiences for the players.
Our U11 Futsal team enjoyed a particularly competitive afternoon at Sevenoaks, finishing 3rd out of five schools in a very strong competition. The team worked hard throughout the tournament, demonstrating some excellent passing, movement and teamwork while representing the school with real pride.
Most importantly, it was fantastic to see so many pupils wearing the Solefield shirt with pride. Results will always be part of school sport, but effort, teamwork, resilience and pride in representing your school are just as important. All three groups should be proud of the way they competed and supported each other.
