‘Look What I Found in the Woods!’

4th October 2026

We had great fun on a Forest School scavenger hunt this week in Pre-Prep, searching for items that were heavy, soft, crunchy, green, orange, and much more. The children explored the woodland with enthusiasm, using their senses to discover the wonderful treasures nature has to offer.

We also collected and planted a variety of seeds that had fallen from the trees to see how they grow and to find out which will sprout first. From the ever-fascinating sycamore “helicopter” seeds to acorns that will one day become mighty oak trees, the children were excited to learn about the life cycle of trees.

Most importantly, we had fun while learning all about the natural world around us. Forest School continues to be a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore, discover, and develop a love of the outdoors.
