The Solefield Library has signed the Green Libraries Manifesto in Green Week. The Reading Reps are very keen to involve the Library in all things Green as libraries are the original recycling centres.
Green initiatives include buying good quality second hand books from charity shops and donating duplicates to the Childrens' Book Project. Out of date comics/papers are also recycled in the Art Room.
The library is the source of information on climate change and Green issues that the school is pursuing!
